Wilkin completes double in Tasmania

Wilkin (Wynnum Golf Club) took out the 2010 Tasmanian Junior Masters title with rounds of 72, 73, 66 and 73, for a 72-hole total of 284 (-4). Wilkin held off charges from Western Australian Ryan Peake and Victorian Harrison Savage who finished on 288 (EV).
Fellow Queensland state representative Emily McLennan comfortably claimed the girls division with rounds of 78, 74, 72 and 76, to finish with a final total of 300 (+8).
This year's event was conducted at the Riverside Golf Club from January 21-22 and was an official Australian Junior Order of Merit event.
Wilkin warmed up for the Tasmanian Junior Masters with an equally impressive victory at last week's 2010 True Value Hardware Tamar Valley Junior Cup, another official Australian Junior Order of Merit event held at the Greens Beach Golf Club. Wilkin won the Cup with a 72-hole total of 286 (-2) after completing solid rounds of 75, 70, 71 and 70.
This year's Tamar Valley Junior Cup featured another extremely strong field, with Wilkin again holding off Ryan Peake and his Queensland teammate Cameron Smith who both finished on 289 (+1).
