Golf Australia has arranged for all affiliated players, officials, volunteers, and trialing participants in recognised development programs, to automatically be covered by $20 million Public Liability Cover.

The new programme comes into effect through members' affiliation fees from 1 July 2009. Golf Australia considers that this coverage furthers their overall aim to assist the development of the sport and ensure that all participants that play the game have appropriate insurance cover.

The coverage also includes Personal Public Liability and Indemnity coverage for amateur coaches that are qualified under Golf Australia's recognised coaching programs and members of a golf club.
