Golf Queensland's State Teams have outplayed their professional counterparts in the annual Caddies Cup clash today at Oxley Golf Club. The State Men's and Colts teams took on a very experienced professional outfit, the one sided result of 16 ½  - 4 ½  was testament to the state teams dedicated training for the upcoming Australian Interstate Teams Matches.

Coolangatta Tweed Win 2010 Senior Club Teams Challenge

The Coolangatta Tweed Golf Club has won the 2010 Senior Club Teams Challenge, defeating Indooroopilly Golf Club nine (9) to three (3) on Aggregate, in the Teams Matchplay format.

Community Coaching Courses Postponed

The Community Coaching Courses for 29 August and 12 Spetember 2010 have been postponed due to an update of the current Community Coaching Accreditation Program set out by Golf Australia and Australian Sports Commission. All details and new dates for Coaching Courses will be made available to participants after September 2010.

Marino wins the 2010 Men’s Country Championship

Luke Marino (Surfers Paradise) has shot consecutive rounds of 73 (+2),73(+1) to win the 2010 Queensland Men's Country Championship.

Marino showed a remarkable amount of composure in testing conditions at the Redcliffe Golf Club on a day that was saturated by consistent rain.

Reardon leads Men's Country

Luke Reardon leads the 2010 Queensland Men's Country Championship after firing a solid opening round of two under par 69 on the Mcleod layout.  He leads Brookwater member Jason Mcdonald by three strokes after he returned a first round score of one over par 72.

Smith and Batibasaga win Queensland Men’s Foursome Championship

Queensland State Team members Cameron Smith (Royal Queensland) and Marika Batibasaga (Indooroopilly) have taken out the QLD Men's Foursome Championships at Oxley Golf Club, with rounds of 69, 70-139, for a three stroke victory over Luke Marino (Surfers Paradise) and Daniel McGraw.

Brett Angeles win the 2010 Queensland Indigenous Championship at the Murgon Golf Club, in damp conditions on the final day of play.

Brett Angeles (Nudgee) fired a final round 78(+8) to join his first two round scores of 77 & 69 to finish 224 for the championship.

Brett Angeles (Nudgee) has shot a one under par round 69 to edge out over night leader Peter Bligh.    Angeles was steady all day after finishing with four bogies & five birdies to round out his first round 77 (+7) with a 69 (-1)to be four shots clear of the field heading into the final round.

Play got under way today for the first round of the 2010 Indigenous Championship at Murgon Golf Club.  A field of 42 Aboriginal and Tore strait Islander players battled it out for the first round of the Indigenous Championship.

The cream of Australasia's golfing 'Legends' have created a log jam at the top of the leaderboard on day two of the Queensland Senior Men's Open at Nudgee Golf Club. The vastly experienced Craig Owen (NZ) leads the tournament by two shots from favourite Rodger Davis (QLD) with Lyndsay Stephen (WA), Ossie Moore (QLD) and Brett Officer (QLD) a further shot back.

Canning grabs early lead at Queensland Men's Senior Open

The first day of the Qld Senior Open has seen New South Welshman Larry Canning jump to the top of the leaderboard at the Nudgee Golf Club. Canning from the Southern Highlands township of Bowral, didn't let a final hole bogey upset his round of 68 (three under par), which was highlighted by a stretch of four birdies on the back nine.

Viitakangas wins Surfers Paradise Open

Local junior Simon Viitakangas has beaten an impressive field to win the 2010 Surfers Paradise Open. Viitakangas, a Queensland State Junior Representative, won with a 6-under par total following a morning round 67 with a very solid 69 in the afternoon. Playing steady golf throughout the day Viitakangas recorded only two bogeys along with six birdies and an eagle.
